Imperium Gloriae Land Raider Crusader

Finally I decided to focus a bit in my Ultrasmurf army, starting with this awesome (and gigantic) papercraft project. I decided to try to make some marble texture/color, with some winged girl statues (they are Nikes, personifications of victory in greek and later in roman art) and a lot of small details. 

It was all made with paper, glue and faith in the Emperor. Some stowage was built from old PC parts, pieces of cloth and other random stuff I found laying around. Also I changed the sponsor design a lot. I don't like the GW/WWI style sponsors, they look stupid and useless, so I had decided to not put any of them.... buuuuut, reading the codex I realized they are needed to give cover fire to disembarking troops, so I went for a look more similar to a automatic turret (tarantulas?)...

For the fluff, the Imperium Gloriae is a nasty, old and hardened vehicle, veteran from some lots of battles across the Galaxy. It was built around the 38th Millennium and incorporated to the 1st Company as a Terminator Transport, but it already suffered so much damage and had so many parts replaced and repaired that it's doubtful if there is still a single bolt or wire from the original vehicle.

Assigned to the "Titan Squad" of Terminators, it was rebuilt as much as an artwork as a tank, with a thin marble panel over it's armor and statues. Some say that the Titans rescued the material from a Catedral to the Emperor, lost with the destruction of the shrine world Elthan V in the claws of the Hive Fleet Behemoth. 

With the recent struggles in Meteora, the Titan Squad and the Imperium Gloriae were sent to reinforce the Ultramarine forces, under the Scipiae Legio Expeditionary Force of the Imperial Guard. Operating with the "mortals" in the field of battle, and having to spend long periods at the planet's surface, sometimes without prospect of immediact extraction, the APC received two additional fuel tanks, camouflage kit, covers for sand storms or tornadoes and lots of tools and material for field engineering (removing barricades, improvising bridges, digging emergence anti-fallout shelters, cleaning of the vehicle after a sandstorm...).
