Strongpoint 01

So it happens I had some round wooden parts lying around with no use... and I decided to build some strongpoints as terrain for my Warhammer 40k games. 

I imagined that Imperial Guard regiments would take some advantage of boulders lying around in a desert, fill a lot of sandbags and make a small fort as a good place for troopers to dig in, resupply or take their wounded for some first aid. I had a lot of small pieces, some from computer boards and some from old necklaces that broke down, so I decided to give the place a more unique detail, with lots of ceramic vessels (probably water) painted in an African style, some piles of IG stuff (probably food and bandages packs) and some big boxes (only the Emperor knows what's inside). First I wanted to put a cammo fabric over the place, so I put this pole and rope, but it made difficult to see or move the miniatures, then I left it uncovered... Maybe this rope can have other uses, like hanging clothes to dry or some coward to serve as example for the others...

The boulders were made with sponge soaked in watered down PVC glue (they are hard as rocks), and the soil was made with watered down kitten sand (they are made of clay, so I just need to add water and I have clay again ).
