Here is my second entry for

Personal Defense Weapon contest.
-------------------------------------------------------
As the contest didn't said how many entries each participant could have, I'm submitting a new one. If its only one per person, I'd rather go with this one than with the
[link] one.

So this is the Quasit, a compact PDW that uses 7.62x39 WP (Warsaw Pact) bullets. Its bullpup design allows the barrel to be longer in a small gun, and the collapsible stock helps the shooter to minimize the recoil and to hide and transport it easily.
The 7.62x39 caliber was chosen for its quite cheap and easy to find ammunition (the same of most AK series guns, also mass produced in China) and reliability. It packs a quite big recoil, but also can cause some big damage.
The use of the Quasit is to be easily concealable and carried by security officers and private bodyguards, provide cover fire and hit targets in close quarters, inside buildings and corners. It's not a very precise gun, but in a semi-automatic mode, it can reach targets at 100m easily.
It also have 3 rails for holographic sights, flashlights and other add-ons, integrated laser pointer with 100m range, iron sights, rubber-covered grip and alternate fire modes (semi-auto, burst fire and full auto).
Also comes in right-handed and left-handed versions, for those madmen and gang members that enjoy using one in each hand at the same time...
I do think the round is way too big. The gun is small and light, which is great, but it also means there's less mass to oppose resistance, so the recoil will throw off the aim quite a bit. 5.45mm Soviet rounds for the AK-74 are also cheap and smaller, so they'd be a good substitute.
The ejection port looks also problematic. I assume we're looking at the gun from the left side, that means any right handed shooter will end up with casings and combustion gases going in front of his face, which is bad.
And these are basically the only problems I see with the gun. Everything else is a vast improvement, not that I didn't like the original as well. Keep up the good work, looks cool.
Well, this is a left handed version, the right handed one would have the ejection port pointing in the other direction. As I'm ambidextrous, I usually model things left handed without noticing
Well, is quite a big round, and probably pack quite a recoil, probably a version fit to 5.45mm would be more "friendly" for weak people's shoulders
You could also specify that right- and left-handed firearms are available for lefty usage as opposed to discussing gangs. Such a build implies that you mean for the crime rate to increase, and gun control would have you(and the rest of the firearms industry) down in an instant.
As previously stated, the weapon is unnaturally thin, and mechanism space would be extremely compact, in turn leading to an overpriced weapon, when someone could just as easily purchase an MP5K for ten grand and be done. Titanium only serves to make it more expensive.
You shouldn't have to specify what other weapons the bullet is used for. Remind everyone that Wikipedia is always open to those who want to understand other successful weapons that use the same cartridge.
The positives you've already looked into. Bullpup designs and other useful features are readily packed in. In the future, you might consider refining this design, but for now a description edit should do the job.
