Ignis Sniper LRS-14 by orcbruto Ignis Sniper LRS-14 by orcbruto
The Long Range Sniper 14mm is a versatile gun used by Ignis troops to kill at long distances.

It's bulpup design makes the barrel quite longer than a conventional sniper, and a laser targeting system and a touch-sensitive foldable panel can guide the shooter to hit targets up to 5 km away. The internal computer calculate the best angle to counter wind and gravity, and the foldable bipod can be adjusted automatically by the computer or manually.

The barrel have pistol mechanisms to reduce the recoil, and the bullets, despite the low caliber and weight, are made of carbon-sensitive explosives, that creates a huge incendiary explosion when in contact with hidrocarbon tissues.

Bullpup makes the gun shorter, it doesn't make the barrel any longer.

well, it makes the gun shorter because part of the barrel gets further inside the gun. If you put the barrel long outside it, it gets overall longer than if it wasn't bullpup...

14mm small? It's bigger than a .50 BMG

Hahahahhahaa
I took as base the 9mm Parabellum that is quite tiny... so I imagined a 14mm wouldn't even be twice the diameter of a 9mm... =D

14mm is only 4mm away from the doubled diameter of a 9mm, so..

...I though like "If you fuse two 9mm circles in a 14mm circle, it's probably not that big..." =D

It may well be; I said "about" because I knew it was in roughly that range, but couldn't remember the exact measure.

Now that you mention it though, I think you're right and it is in fact 12.7mm

Checked just in case. .50 BMG is 12.7x99mm while russian .50 is 12.7x108mm

I love the look of this gun. It sort of reminds me of a railgun I'm linearting at the moment in Paint.

Though if I could make a few suggestions, the scope looks a bit plain and perhaps even antiquated compared with the rest of the rifle. I'd suggest perhaps going back and making it a bit bulkier and maybe adding some knobs or something which could be used to adjust it for wind and bullet drop, like on a modern scope.

The other thing I notice is that the computer display is on the wrong side for right-handed (i.e. the majority of) shooters. But if you were to simply flip the image horizontally you could fix that easily.

Heheheheh, in fact, there is one computer display at each side of the gun, for left-handed and right-handed shooters, they can be folded inside the gun body and turned off to allow a better handing...

The scope isn't a traditional lens scope either. In the front of the gun there is a camera and it broadcast the images for the scope by fiberglass wires, and the computer puts images over it for bullet drop and wind adjustments.

In case of an EMP pulse or other anti-electronic situation, the front camera and computer assistance can be turned off and the scope used as a standart one, despite its not as useful or powerful as the computer-guided aim... It work as a simple scope, like this one [link] =D

I think that 14mm is a good compromise between .50 and 20mm rounds. Although I read of a .50 round that was as effective as a standard 20mm. Raufoss Mk 211 I believe.

.50 isnt as effective as a 20mm. 20mm is anti veahicle. In WW2 anti tank.

well, 'twas only what I read from the wikipedia article on the round. It has an armor piercing tungsten part, an incendiary and an explosive part. It penetrates light armor and does some really nasty work on those inside

20mm is... Auctualy i think its an AA gun cal now. XD

AP Rounds are usualy hardened tungeten. They dont have an explosive filler charge. Not the ,50 those are just tailing charges i think

The Raufoss round is multipurpose. There have been debates on whether the use of it against human targets should be banned. Although hitting a human, the round doesn't nessecarily go off and simply passes through. Although if the target has body armor, there's a small chance that the round explodes and causes damage to those near the one who got hit.

XD API round with balls. Though the pussies at Geneve banned Hollowpoint's because of the insane damage they do. Bastards those rounds would rip the Taliban to FUCK
