asked me for this babe, so here it is. Its a tactical shield equipped with a compact short barrel revolver-feed shotgun.The Hoplite is designed to provide protection and accessible firepower for crowd control, prison rebellions and other situations of close-quarters combat. The shield is made of a weave of titanium and carbon fiber micro threads with a double quartz bulletproof window. Its considerable light and resistant. The 12 gauge shotgun is also light and easy to operate, with a lever-based reloading-system (to be operated with just one hand) and a 16 shell revolver-like drum.
Traditional shells can be exchanged by rubber shells, or small gas grenades for crowd control, and the shotgun can be detached from the shield at any time.

I vaguely remember something about this being done before back before the first world war (A combination gun+ballistic shield), but it turned out to be impractical since the shield was too heavy and the gun wasn't practical to use with the shield. New material tehnology might improve these issues though.
