Made for the group contest "Deep Sea Mechas". ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
This terrible invading mechas arrived in Earth billions of years before the dinosaurs. The Elder Things [link] used this robot walkers to battle the invader Mi-Go and other alien creatures. After the collapse of the Elders outpost in Earth, thousands of this robots became buried in deep ocean chasms.
With the recent invasion of Elders, some derelict fighters of this race fallen into Earth oceans, and the pilots recognized the ancient mechas burried but still functional under the sea.
The mecha, nicknamed "Lobster" by the humans, is very ancient in terms of Elder technology, but still much advanced for humans. It moves mostly by walking in the underwater soil, and it also can "swim", using the little legs as oars, or the big ones as frog legs.
The main weapon of the Lobster are their claws, made of an alloy of organic stem-cells, carbon and titanium. It can cut and crush almost any material made by men, and are quite agile.
The eerie "head"/cockpit of the Lobster also can generate soundwaves that are lethal underwater, the same way the Pistol Shrimps do [link] . Out of water, the "sound-cannon" cannot generate the same effect, but can be used as physiologic warfare, creating a loud and eerie sound that drive humans to madness or deafness.
I always thought that the Elder Starfish-Plant-People would work with the humans against the other Old Ones I mean we and they both value sanity and reason.... Although they used slaves without remorse so I guess they aren't that good.
They probably think humans are very ugly, and we are also melting Antarctica, exposing their lost cities and the Shoggots still there. Probably they think we are shoggots or friends of shoggots
I think the Starfish People would be wise enough to overlook personal appearence and embrace the one thing they never had when they first fought Cthulhu and the Mi-Go and the Deep Ones: An ally. -- EVIDENCE: the elder have multiple brains Before all the invasions they pursued art and science The other races scare the crap out of them. -- What if the four missing elder in the original story fled the arctic and went south into Canada? That would be kind of hilarious and awesome if the Elder were Canada's Greatest Secret
Hahahahahaah Probably they are Terrence and Phillip from South Park
Well, but how they would manage to NOT be shot by humans on sight. I think humans would kill them on sight, or worse, consider them primitive animals and lock them in a District-9 slump
I think that except for the Mi-Go (and the Elder Gods), humans are one of the most vicious creatures to appear in a Lovecraft story
...I bet they love watching Terrence and Phillip...
"Camp 001 started off as just four log cabins, but over the years it has grown through the Elders ingenuity and from support by the government. The residents of the camp corrected Einstiens calculations during the Manhatten Project and designed the rockets that NASA claimed to have made. 001 is the biggest and the first of three."
anyways I thought Canada would've been a less cliched nation than Russia.
It's just that I've always liked the idea that Star Trek proposed: That half the aliens out there are friendly (in kirks case, sexy) and the other half want to kill us. Fighting weird enemies is always better with weird allies by your side.

Wow! And probably that Elders are now employed at Area 51
Oh! you mean Camp 03.
It would be funny if you added Terrence or Phillip to the side of the Lobster Mecha as a decal.
Area 51, that (in)famous air force secret base in Mojave Desert in US, were the military suposely have alien starships hidden
I don't know if there is something like that in Canada... Maybe the base were they made Wolverine skeleton
